Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

Searching emails is kind of fundamental to my and (I assume) millions of others. Given that MS has decided to break this and not fix it I've taken a different route.

In my opinion the pinnacle version of Microsoft Outlook was 2010. Everything since then has removed useable features, primarily an efficient means of searching the current folder and highlighting folders with new mail.

Hopefully everyone else who's annoyed by this has feedbacked.

I can't believe how bad this is... perhaps the programmers are working with small laptop screens and it's not so disruptive to the workflow on a 14" screen but on a 24" - 32", it's awful.

I fully agree. I have been (trying) to use the new search for a good while now and I really tried to get used to it and to find the benefits.

There are no benefits to find, it is terrible, user unfriendly and no UI designer should ever approve this.

    Incredible.

Today my organization released a 365 update which moved the Search Bar to the title line. Version 2008 (Build 13127.21064)

This is really an inconvenient and inefficient location which causes me to move my focus and the cursor to the top of the window when searching, which I do many, many, really many times a day.

I know You have declined a similar suggestion lately, but please reconsider that decision, in order to have the daily tools right to your hand. I admit that the search capability seams to be enhanced with the new location. But please give me back an option to have a search field where it belongs, on top of the list of mails. The current location is a serious backwards move.

It is not just the location, the search capability has not improved at all, on the contrary. Lotus Notes had better and faster search functionality 20 years ago!
