Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

Is there any option to take the search bar to old place. It's very uncomfortable.

Ok so I have to add my complaint to the above one as this update reached me only today (dunno why others have it since August).

The placement on the top is awkward but let's say we could got used with it but I am very much upset about other thing. Since this update, the search does NOT dynamically show the results IN THE VIEW. It shows that pull-down thing with some results but not the actual mails I am searching for.

In the old style search, while I was typăing in the search box, the results were dynamically shown in the view (with top results at top). Now I get the results ONLY after presing ENTER (or the arrow at the rightside of the search field).

YES, I know there is an option in settings that activates/deactivates the dynamic display of the results (in search options is called "When possible, display results as the query is typed") but that does not do ANYTHING.

So please, whatever you did, revert it at least for the way search is working.

No. Not that I am aware of, and I've not seen a UserVoice request on it asking for it to be changed back. Doesn't mean they won't, but the Answers forum is not really where MS program managers spend a lot of time looking at user requests. It is UserVoice and the apps feedback mechanisms.

have your users go to the Help menu, Feedback, and report this issue. CTRL-V works, but you are right - the right-click menu should work in that text box and doesn't.
