Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

    Hi All

This is a "feature" of Insider build.

No problem with that. It frees up some space. Ctrl E is a shortcut worth remembering anyway (works across Office and Windows).

    Problem

But the real problem is that when you start typing it opens a drop-down to show various options.

This drop-down overlaps the Search Tools ribbon - the most useful ones like Subject, From/To and so on.

    Suggested Solution

So can it be moved towards the right side of the title bar?

That way, the drop-down will not Overlap search tools.

    Thanks.

Moving it to the Right side would help a lot. Now that we are all working from home, the search bar in the title is mostly covered by the RDP bar.

My feedback - The new layout of Outlook is not as good as the old layout.

I have been trying to fix this for weeks .  Looks like MS did this on purpose and there is no way to move it back.

So how come that MS forces down this **** on all users?

The new search bar is ****, want the old one back.

Is there anybody that takes into account user needs?

Please notify me if the search bar from the top of outlook can be moved down and to a smaller place.

This will not happen despite a huge amount of negative reactions on this.

MS made clear that the position is there to stay. Their reasoning behind it, is that they want a uniform feel/look throughout the whole Office 365 package, including all kinds of useless search functions for normal Outlook use. Also, the online Outlook has te searchbar on top, so the desktop has the same now.

So when it comes to Outlook, the product is WAY more important then the user.

I am sitting out my 356 subscription but already using Thunderbird. It's getting use to, but it's way more userfriendly and logical then the **** Outlook has become :(
