Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

It also replaces the title text which states which mailbox I am in.

The search no longer finds results as I type. I must type the entire phrase & press enter. I use search a lot, this makkes the process take significantly longer & slows my workflow.

If the user works using the left pane as shortcuts, there is now no way to see which mailbox is in view.

Yep, an awful mess for no reason at all.

Replaces mailbox name in the title bar.

No longer searches as you type (despite options checked).

Moving the search to the title bar was a BAD idea.  Please let us know how to revert this change.  It is causing a lot of pain to our users (and those of us that support them)

The new search location is awful. After trying, unsuccessfully to find a way to move it back, I finally reverted back to the previous version of Office 365:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2770432/how-to-revert-to-an-earlier-version-of-office-2013-or-office-2016-clic

I'm now running Version 2003 (Build 12624.20466) and the search bar is where I want it.

Don't forget to turn off automatic updates if you revert.

Hopefully, enough people hate this "feature" and they fix it in a future update.
