Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

When clicked on the search bar there is a drop-down at the right side of the search bar, when clicked, opens a window that has the search tool, like the search option ribbon, to chose search options like Search in - current folder, subfolders, received, from/to. You could also expand search options

The new location is absolutely horrible and not user friendly. The move makes no sense. I've also noticed the functionality has gone down hill too. I can search for something right in front of me and it won't see it. Ugh. Please move it back to where it was, or at least give people the option to choose the preferred location for themselves, and make it work properly! Cheers!

My solution has been to synch to gMail and use the search there.  It is much more capable than the "new" outlook search!

Today my organization released a 365 update which moved the Search Bar to the title line. Version 2008 (Build 13127.21064)

This is really an inconvenient and inefficient location which causes me to move my focus and the cursor to the top of the window when searching, which I do many, many, really many times a day.

I know You have declined a similar suggestion lately, but please reconsider that decision, in order to have the daily tools right to your hand. I admit that the search capability seams to be enhanced with the new location. But please give me back an option to have a search field where it belongs, on top of the list of mails. The current location is a serious backwards move.

The updated search algorithms are terrible. If I wasn't forced to use Outlook by my employer, I'd switch to a better product.
