Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

Ok so I have to add my complaint to the above one as this update reached me only today (dunno why others have it since August).

The placement on the top is awkward but let's say we could got used with it but I am very much upset about other thing. Since this update, the search does NOT dynamically show the results IN THE VIEW. It shows that pull-down thing with some results but not the actual mails I am searching for.

In the old style search, while I was typăing in the search box, the results were dynamically shown in the view (with top results at top). Now I get the results ONLY after presing ENTER (or the arrow at the rightside of the search field).

YES, I know there is an option in settings that activates/deactivates the dynamic display of the results (in search options is called "When possible, display results as the query is typed") but that does not do ANYTHING.

So please, whatever you did, revert it at least for the way search is working.

Is there any option to take the search bar to old place. It's very uncomfortable.

The location of this search bar renders it absolutely useless. One of our techs has been trying to remedy this for about an hour to no avail.

    Microsoft needs to fix this!!!!

Note that this is not broken, nor a bug. It is a design change. You could request a change at UserVoice, or on the Help menu of Outlook, hit the Feedback icon.

Having a tech work on it though won't do anything. It is a design change and operating as intended.

I am not sure how you say it renders it useless. I use it every day and it works like the old search, but doesn't take up additional screen space since it is in the title bar vs taking up a row in the email list.
