Outlook search bar moved to the title!?

Another down vote from me.

Putting the search in the top bar is irritating. But far worse is the new functionality that goes with it. Way too many clicks! The old search worked far better. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I am seriously considering ditching Microsoft altogether and already have laptops set up with Linux which outperforms Windows by a country mile. This new search, combined with a raft of stupid issues and Windows updates taking literally hours out of my day could be the final nail in the coffin.

Not impressed!

Microsoft, you need to start listening to your customers!

Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

Please off the coming soon, u will get the search bar as usual.

I am not on Office Insider.

I believe this is now released to everyone.

I am on Office 365 Business, Version 2001, Build 12430.20184.   x-64 vs x-32

FYI:  I believe File --> Options --> Search    you can: 

• Uncheck the box:  Show most relevant search results on top
  • I finally found this and unchecked because Microsoft has no idea what is Relevant.

The checkbox is still there for 

• When possible, display results, as the query is typed.
  • But it clearly does not function
  • I would complain, but Microsoft would probably just claim: Well it says "When Possible", because they have no other answer or understanding of how it works

...a change for changes sake... just like how the move reply etc all the way to the right where nothing is

What Microsoft doesn't realize is that if you want to search for "Has Attachments" instead of a word the search opens up over the "Has Attachments" and doesn't allow the use of the "Search" Ribbon.  Just another debacle by Microsoft. 

So "Refine" search is a PIA
