Office Insider - Error Code 30088-28

Insider was working just fine. Then yesterday this error message 30088-28 came up after I tried to download the most recent update. I then tried a restart, then a quick repair, then a full repair. The full repair gave a different error message that 'something went wrong', the consequence being that Office was completely uninstalled. I then reinstalled it, restarted, and tried again to update to Insider - it came right back to the 30088-28 message! 

I urgently need to get back to Insider - can someone please help me?

I have received confirmation from the team that they have resolved this with the latest build, and it looks like several others in this thread have successfully updated today. If you were experiencing this error, please try updating again. If you run into any further issues, please create a new thread and provide details.

    Still having the same issue

    I use Office 365  in two laptops, one is updated with version1909 build 12026.20000 and has dynamic arrays but doesn't have the xlookup, this machine is okay. (I am subscribed to Office Insider fast (called Insider now)

    The second laptop is logged in using same id, that is having version 1902 build 11328.20158 here everything is messed up recently, I got the Xlookup in this machine as it was released on 28Aug2019 also Dynamic Arrays were also working fine, now it has none and the icons are all Office 2016 icons but the product is Office 365, when I am trying to update manually it shows error code 3088-28, I have tried reinstalling several times, tried online repair several times but nothing works, and a 2 hour screen sharing session with Microsoft help team too could not resolve the issue they redirected me to this forum, I am financial modeler, an Excel and VBA Expert and work as an Independent Consultant, my whole work depends on excel and that is why I am using office 365 and registered as an Insider too as I need the latest feature in excel. This kind of issues and very little help from Microsoft is really making our lives difficult.

    I first experienced the issue on 27/28 Aug 2019 but i already had XLOOKUP. Hope it will be resolved by 04-09-2019

    I have merged several threads reporting this issue into this single thread. If you are still experiencing this error when attempting to update today, please let me know. Also, if you have tried any troubleshooting steps, please detail them so I can provide a complete picture to the team - uninstall/reinstall, online repair, etc. The team believed they had identified the issue and the fix should be implemented, so if this is ongoing we need as much information as possible.

    Just tested freshly and the problem is still here (Win10, currently on the previous build).

    I have not tried repair and reinstall etc since absolutely no one has reported that fixed the issue. Plus, clearly it's a problem on the server side, so I wanted to let that process play out in order to see if/when changes made there help.

    I'll try again with the (likely imminent) new build, which I suspect by it having a different number may set things on the right path (just a guess).
