Office Insider - Error Code 30088-28

Insider was working just fine. Then yesterday this error message 30088-28 came up after I tried to download the most recent update. I then tried a restart, then a quick repair, then a full repair. The full repair gave a different error message that 'something went wrong', the consequence being that Office was completely uninstalled. I then reinstalled it, restarted, and tried again to update to Insider - it came right back to the 30088-28 message! 

I urgently need to get back to Insider - can someone please help me?

I have received confirmation from the team that they have resolved this with the latest build, and it looks like several others in this thread have successfully updated today. If you were experiencing this error, please try updating again. If you run into any further issues, please create a new thread and provide details.

    When I do online repair, the download started and finished. But the installation process fail due to error 30088-22,

    Don't know how too fix this?

    I am an Office 365 Insider member and very happy with the program until the larest August 30, 2019 update.

    When i click Update Now in Office 365, the downloading started and after finished download, it dail to update as before, ending up with error 30088-28

    after getiing this error, i hvae down this to sort out problem but still fail

    1. Disable antivirus , firewall thrpen update. It fail with error 30088-28
    2. Do quick repair Office 365, the repair is successful but then update Office 365 Insider fail with error 30088-28
    3. Do complete uninstall then reinstall Office 365 with online Microsoft support staff. After install, before I enroll Office 365 Insider, i hit update now from Office app, and Office 365 download and install update without problem
    4. i enroll Office Insider using Monthly (targeted) option, then update Office 365. It indicated that i am updated and there is nothing to update
    5. i changed the enrollment to Insider option, then click update now. This time, Office Insider start download the update but end up with error 30088-28

    my Office 365 installation is new, and my Windows Updates work flawlessly. So what is the cause of this error 30088-28?

    any expert here experience tha same problem as i do? Please help me fix this, or help to fix on Insider system side please

    I have the same issue. I got the 30088-28 error today when updating to the latest Windows Insider build. The machine is running Windows 10 Insider Build 18970.  I have seen other posts by someone today (8/31/2019) with the same problem. If you are in the State, I hope you get the Labor Day Holiday weekend.
