form the Office Insider page;

Office 365 Home, Personal, and University subscribers: To opt out of Office Insider on your Windows Desktop, you have two options:

  1. From the File menu in any Office 2016 application, go to Account and click the Office Insider tile. Clear the Get early access to new releases of Office check box and click OK. Note: This new feature is being rolled out gradually, so it might not be available to you right away.
  2. Visit the Additional Install Options page of My Account and choose one of the other options when installing Office.

Once you opt out of the program or change your level, you’ll be updated to the build corresponding to your new level (Slow or Fast), or return to the monthly production release schedule non-Insiders are on.

For Office 365 Business, Enterprise, and Education customers, use these steps or ask your admin to configure your Office client settings.

    @Mel.  Office 365 has its own insider program that has nothing to do with OEM trial copies.

    Rmucan's description is accurate.  You can search back a few days in Windows Central to find a detailed article on how to join and leave the Office 365 preview program.  In principle it is very like the Windows insider program.  There are quite a lot of variations on the insider program, only one of which is the client Windows that we discuss here.   Another insider program is for XBox.

    How do I opt out of Office 365 Insider program?

    Not exactly sure what you are referring to here but if you speak of the Office 365 trial sub that might come with a new PC, I find this little gem from Microsoft will remove all traces of

    an Office install.  The gem is called "o15ctrremove".

    I used this on a new system to remove the Office 365 trial before I installed Office 2016 Pro Plus.  You could also use the normal Control Panel program removal tool but the  little gem is recommended to remove all traces.

    You are likely in the wrong forum for your question.

    Mel
