Hidden non updateable Powerpoint

I have Microsoft office 16.71.

I get repeated messages of failed updates.

Finally found an error message with

A gray circle bar over the PP symbol and the title Microsoft PowerPoint Unknown

Then a red-circled exclamation point. Current version: 14:4 Installed Apr 19, 2022

I cannot find these files in the app directory.

***moved from Microsoft 365 and Office / Install, redeem, activate / For home / Windows***

    Hi Steven

    There seems to be a left-over from a a very old build of PowerPoint on your system.

    Is there a chance your Mac could have an old install of Microsoft Office saved somewhere? Do a Spotlight Search and see if you might have old PowerPoint somewhere then trash it.
