How to move quick access toolbar below ribbon office 365 for Mac

On my pc when I click the dropdown box on the Quick Access Toolbar, there is an option at the bottom to move it below the ribbon (closer to my work).  How is this accomplished on my Macbook Pro?

Hi Harvey,

Thanks the reply. In looking at all the apps, and doing some checking, it seems you currently can't move the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) on a Mac like you can with the PC. I saw messages that it's been that way since the intro of Office 2016 on the mac.

I'd say use the ? or smiley face button and send feedback, as that goes right to the team. You can also go to UserVoice and post a suggestion or vote on another one.

    Thanks for the post. On my MacBook Pro, I don't see the option to drop the Quick Access bar below the ribbon toolbar like you can on Windows.

    However, I don't know if it is possible or not, so is this an Insider build or retail build? I just want to get you to the right place to find an answer.

    Thanks for trying to help. I’m pretty sure that I am part of the office insider program, although I’m not sure what that entails. On my iphone and ipad I signed up for test flight. I didn’t have any kind of retail build. I don’t think my MacBook Pro has anything other than the regular Office 365. I hope that info helps you advise me.

    Hi Harvey,

    If you click the App name on the bar at the top of the screen, and then click About[fill in the app] on PowerPoint, Word or Excel, you should see "Insider" on the panel somewhere. If not, it's probably retail. The current version for Insider on the mac is 16.7 for Fast, and 15.39 for Slow and retail (there are also minor version numbers after).

    The retail forums could probably help you the most. If you let me know which app you're most interested in, I'll move this discussion there, or you can just open a question there.

    For example Office>Excel>Mac>Office 365 Home

    Hi Harvey,

    As a side note, you can join the Insider program on your Mac by checking the "Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases" box on the AutoUpdate page.

    Click Help>Check for updates>Join the Office ...

    Office Insider Fast is pre-beta, and can vary in stability. Definitly not something you want to run on a work or production machine.

    Office Insider Slow is released monthly and is usually more stable than Fast.

    Regular retail is usually most stable, and is released approximately monthly.
