3D Icons

Am I missing something?  I added and icon to a presentation slide and then tried to add 3D effects.  Didn't work. With the addition of the Paint 3D Preview, it makes sense to provide 3D icons for Word and PowerPoint or at the very least to support editing the 2D icons to add 3D effects. However, I don't seem to be able to make that work.

Suggestions?

    Both the top and bottom bezel. Neither one worked.
