After the update this morning (Office Insider Fast) my outlook is not even launching.  All other products (word, excel, power point, etc.) are working fine.

Please advise ASAP

I strongly advise against uninstalling, reinstalling, and especially advise against reverting to a previous version.

The version history Ed refers to has nothing at all to do with Insider builds.

The current Insider Fast update is 16.14 (180612) If you have any other version, install updates as your next troubleshooting step.

Make sure your Mac has a working internet connection before checking for updates. Install Mac OS X updates followed by Office updates.

Install Mac OS X updates first:

To get Mac OS updates, go to the App store on your dock, and then click the Updates button to reveal available updates.

    Then Install Office Updates

    To get the update:

    1. Open any Office application
    2. Go to the Help menu and choose Check for Updates
    3. Let AutoUpdate check for and install updates
    4. Restart your Mac

If you have any add-ins such as WebEx, Mendelay, EndNote, Zotero, TypeIt4me, etc it is essential that you install the latest updates for your add-ins.

If you still have the problem in the current build, the next troubleshooting step to take is to determine whether the problem is Outlook or your profile.

Use the Outlook Profile Manager.app to make a new profile and set it as the default. Then try to open Outlook. If Outlook opens, then your original profile needs repair. If Outlook still won't open THEN you should reply here with that information and we can alert the developer team to follow up on this.

Manage profiles or identities in Outlook for Mac - Office ...

If your original Outlook profile needs repair, do the following:

    Rebuild Outlook Profile:

Go to where the mail database is stored,

~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/Main Profile/Data (on mac) and delete or simply move the "Outlook.sqllite" file.

Now, assuming you have not changed your default profile, simply open outlook and you should be prompted that there is a problem and outlook needs to rebuild. If you did change your profile, change it back to 'Main Profile'.

    Thanks to iTurbo

I am not getting any error.  When I click on the outlook icon it just blinks but doesn't open up. If I go into my finder and type Outlook there it gives me a message, "The application "Microsoft Outlook" can't be opened."
