How do you leave the Office Insider programme?

Hi,

A simple question.

How do you leave the Office Insider programme?

I've tried clearing the "Sign me up..." checkbox and get the "Sorry to see you go" message, but despite multiple subsequent updates I'm still an Insider!

I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Office without success.

The only way I've found which works is to do a fresh install of Windows 10 and reinstallaton of Office, but this seems a little drastic just to leave an Insider programme!

I'm having the same problem across my three machines: PC; laptop; and a Surface Book 2.

I have Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) on each with Office 365 Home. I use my one M$ account across the three machines.

Any pointers would be appreciated, a solution more so.

Cheers,

Glyn.

What version and build is shown on the File > Account > About Word (or equivalent) menu? When you do a manual uninstall - be sure to follow all steps outlined in the link above, including removing the scheduled tasks, registry entries, and do a full machine restart after completing the procedure - and reinstall Office, what is the version and build that is shown?

The above methods are the only ways to be removed from the program, so we will need additional information if they don't seem to be working for you.

    Hi Jesse,

Thanks for your pointless, useless reply and links.

If you'd bothered to read my post you would appreciate that I've followed the prescribed procedure for leaving the Office Insider programme, but without success, over a period of time including several major update releases.

    Try again.

Information about opting-out of the program can be found here. Once you opt out, you need to wait until the production version catches up with the Insider build you are on to get back onto Production builds. You can also uninstall and reinstall Office without opting back in to the program, and that should put you on Production builds immediately. If doing a regular uninstall of Office isn't, for some reason, removing the Insider builds, you can do a full, manual uninstall by following the steps here.
