Hi everyone, and sorry for my strong language, but I am really fed up with the new Outlook Search on the title bar, that appeared a couple of months ago in the Insider build. Outlook Search used to work perfectly well for years, why did MS have to touch it really? Does anyone else feel so annoyed as well with the latest changes? Just an example from today: The new search bar, that has unfortunately been moved to the title bar, not only is it no functionally positioned - compared to how useful it was - but also does not work correctly: I am used to typing "to:" of "from:" and the name of the person whose mail I am looking for. No autocomplete for the names here I am used to typing "hasattachment:yes"; not only the autocomplete is gone (it used to come up after typing "has"), but no search results show up, even if there are emails sent to the particular person with attachments the same as #2 happens when I use the "has attachments" button of the ribbon. No results are shown, although there are messages with attachments for the particular person the new filter options (the ones you get when you click on the "Current folder" option at the title bar) are not consistent with what you have already typed in the search filter. E.g. I already have typed "hasattachment:yes" and I can still select "yes" in the attachment filter, so I end up for two "hasattachment:yes" options in the search bar, which of course doesn't work (not that it worked with one statement) What a big scr*!@up of the Outlook search feature! Please revert to the previous one!

"New" Outlook search at the title bar. I would agree with most of you of converting it back to the legacy version if ever possible, it has not problem at all. This is an uncalled for change. If we have to live with this, see below. The new search bar has two problems after I used it for a couple months. When click the search bar, it should not pop up suggested searches immediately, it covers big area, including "from" button. Like below: If it can start popping up when I start typing with relevant suggestions that will not block me from clicking "from" or "to" instead of I have to click the title bar (outside the search blank) one more time then I can see the buttons. "to" function. When I click "from" button, it shows "from"sender name"", with the "sender name" selected, then I type in the name that I would like to search, it replaces "sender name". This is OK. But~~~~~, when I use "to" function, like below, when I try to type in the name that I sent emails "to", nothing happened. The "Recipient Name" will still be there. I had to manually select the "recipient name" again, in order to type in the names I need to search. !!! Some reckless IT designer must have forgot to put cursor on it when once "to" button is pushed. Microsoft need to fix this. Appreciate it. Ray

I have had it too! I have used this search function for ever and it worked great. Now it is not only in an aggravating place, it doesn't work. I typically use this when searching my Purchase Orders that have been sent to vendors but recently, when I search for the PO# that I actually had just created, it finds nothing. This email program is worthless to me now. I don't know how we could possibly get Microsoft to listen to us but I hope they wake up. I do not want to be pushed to a Gmail account for my business operations. Dissatisfied at the least,

Absolutely infuriating every time I try to grab my title bar for a drag and I immediately do something in that search bar that changes the email list below it. I have to undo it every time. It isn't even easy to avoid (in dark mode anyway). The thing blends right into the title bar! MS, reverse this change please! Title bar should be for, well, title, X, full screen and minimize, and maybe some useful things on the outer edges.

How can we revert back to the outlook that actually WORKED???

Not only does the search bar not work as it used to, every day it decides not to recognize any email addresses, drops One Drive from the account (seriously, microsoft doesnt work with microsoft). I have to uninstall and reinstall several times a day. help says there’s nothing they can do.. its their new way of connecting, so, the broke something that worked perfectly for years. i use outlook for my job and its pitiful.

I have had it too!
