Backspace and arrow keys not working in powerpoint

I downloaded the latest updates and now cannot use the backspace key in powerpoint. Works fine in word, outlook, excel, etc. Any clues as to what might be wrong?

An update was released last night that should resolve this issue. Please download the latest update and let us know if you're still experiencing any issues.

    Could you confirm whether you are using version 16.13 as well(PowerPoint>About PowerPoint)? @John,PatrickTillman & Jerome, thanks a lot for your posting.

    If so, since version 16.13 is Insider fast version, we will move this thread to Insider category to ensure you get expert supports. If not, please let us know your current OS version and Office version, we will be glad to provide support for you here.

    I reported the bug to the PowerPoint Team. Doesn't mean there will be a quick fix but since it's a pretty serious and obvious bug I think there will be ...
