Launch power query editor on Mac

Good day

I am trying to get access to Power Query Editor on Mac. I have done the latest Excel beta and current channel (preview) updates as required and currently have Excel version 16.64 installed, but still don't have a Power Query Editor option. According to Office Insider this feature is available to Beta Channel users running Version 16.61 or later.

Attached is a screenshot of what I should be seeing according to Office insider when I select get data in the data tab, and a screenshot of what I'm actually seeing.

I do have a Microsoft 365 subscription, I have the bèta channel but still not able to see the launch power query editor button.

    +1. Exactly same issue.

Thx for your replay, you saved me)

    What I did:

Step 1: uninstalled the current Excel version (tried beta updates before) - was downloaded earlier from corporate account

Step 2: installed Excel from AppStore

Step 3: restarted my Mac (didn't check if problem had been solved on Step 2 though)

    Got profit

    Thx again, HOUSSEM DENGUIR1

    Hi

Education licenses do not generally allow you to join the Beta Channel. Your educational institution most likely has turned off your ability to use new features.

Hello giantqtips, I had the exactly same issues.

I downloaded first the excel from the office 365 from my university site and launch query doesn't wanted to launch even when I had the beta channel. I uninstalled it and download the excel from the AppStore. Boom I restarted the Mac and the power query had been shown to me but only for one day as the next day I did not find it anymore.

I don't administer licenses. This organization might help you:

It appears your install of Office is managed and that the IT department does not allow you to join the beta channel.

Hi Jim, how do I grant that access to the user? because I can't find the menu to give that access.
