Why Python in Excel code won't run?

Well, some update must have been applied; but, it didn't actually solve the problem, just changed it slightly.

Now when I go to execute any Python code, it still doesn't execute, but the error message has now changed.

It used to say #PYTHON! ..... now it says #BLOCKED! (License Required)

And, FYI, I am signed into my account and I do subscribe to Microsoft 365 Apps for Business.

It will probably be resolved via an update. Thus, this ends up being a waiting game for you.

I have tried all the recommended suggestions shy of reinstalling. I have the exact same problem under Windows 10 on my desktop and windows 11 on my laptop. So, it’s obviously not the installation of Office.

I have spoken to A few different levels of support at Microsoft and have an open ticket. They have researched the issue and find numerous other individuals having the exact same problem, and have referred the issue to the Insiders Beta Development Team. And they have assured me that I will be among the first to know when they resolve the problem.

We understand that the public preview of Python in Excel isn't working for you. This is despite signing up to the Microsoft 365 Insider Program and using the latest build of the Beta Channel of Microsoft 365.

As explained in the article below, "Python in Excel is gradually rolling out to Public Preview for those in the Microsoft 365 Insiders program Beta Channel. This feature will roll out to Excel for Windows first, starting with build 16818, and then to the other platforms at a later date."

Emphasis on the word "gradually" by the article's author. This article when first published back in August actually had this to say:
