Excel 2016 for Mac - Upside down display of sheets

You posted your question to the general release forum, but you are using an Insider build, so I posted your question to the Insider forum. Because you are using insider builds, you should always use the special Insider Forum. Be sure to include your version and build number in all posts (get this from the Excel menu and choose About Excel).

In this case, I know you are using an Insider Fast build because that's the way Excel displays some worksheets in the current build.

It's pretty cool, don't you think? You should save some screen shots so you can brag about how you saw this once in Excel when you had a pre-beta test version.

Obviously, this will be fixed before it gets to release stage.

Meanwhile, you can use Time Machine to restore the previous build of Excel. I suggest you choose Keep Both. If AutoUpdate comes along and decides to get rid of your restored build, just restore it again. Or you can set AutoUpdate to Manual until next week.

Do Microsoft really endorse MVP's that talk to new businesses who have just joined O365 like this?

I actually turned on the insider builds option because I wanted to try a plugin for Outlook (gmail) that hadn't been released yet. This was suggested by a MS KB article. I hadn't quite clocked this would move over my whole office install, it's not a massive problem, but there's ways of communicating with people that don't make you sound like an obnoxious self important twit.

Unfortunately what you're seeing is an interaction between the Insider build and Mac High Sierra. It's a known issue with the latest build of Insider Office, and is actively being worked on by the product team.

It was first reported a week or so ago, and a number of people have reported it. We don't have a fix yet, but the product team has said we should see a fix by the next build.

However, in the mean time a couple of workarounds have been suggested.

• Use time machine to roll Office back to an earlier version.
• Uninstall Insider Office, and reinstall the production version from the Office 365 site.

I haven't specifically heard how these work out. There is also an issue with Search and replace in Word with High Sierra, so I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the production version of Office rather than individual apps.

Sorry about this issue, as you mentioned wanting to try out an Outlook plug-in, and it affected other apps.

We're monitoring the progress of the product team and will get out news as soon as we have it.
