A Microsoft application for managing email, calendars, contacts, and tasks across devices and platforms.
The ONLY type of license that will have the new Groups feature is an Office 365 subscription. If you see anything other than "Office 365 Subscription" in the About Outlook dialog when you go to the Outlook menu and and choose About Outlook, then your copy of Outlook is not logged in as an Office 365 subscription.
If you are positive your organization has you listed as an Office 365 user, then you should check to make sure you are logged in under your organization's Office 365 account using the username and password they gave you. Sometimes people install Office using some other license and didn't realize they have to log out of that license and log into the Office 365 license.
Here's how to see how you are logged in (have your Office 365 username and password handy before starting this):
- Quit Outlook
- Open Microsoft Word
- If Word doesn't open to the Templates Gallery, use File > New from Template
- In the templates gallery, click the circle near the upper left corner. When you click this circle, you can see how you are logged in.
- Sign out
- Restart your Mac
- Go back to the templates gallery and sign in using your Office 365 username and password.
- Go to the Word menu and choose About Word. If you signed in with the proper credentials, you will see that your license is now Office 365 Subscription
