Join button yields "the application can't be opened" error for zoom (Outlook for mac)

When clicking on the join button for a zoom meeting, I get the error below.

Zoom works fine apart from that, and opens fine when clicking on the actual URL in the invitation.

Does anyone have a fix?

    I understand you cannot join a zoom meeting from through clicking a join button as it is returning an error "the application can't be opened". Please correct me if I am wrong.

    May I know what version of Outlook do you have? Please update to the latest version if you are not using it yet. Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Docs

    Kindly check Outlook on the Web if you can get the same error or it is limited to the Outlook client.

    Also please let me know if you are using Zoom add-in or a plug-in?

    Hi,

    I have version 16.64 which I believe is the latest. But the issue has been there for as far as I can remember.

    On the web, the "join" button opens a blank new page.

    I am not using any add-in or plug-in. Some meetings show a "join" button, and some don't. I'm under the impression that most of the ones with a button are from my google email account (I have both exchange and google email accounts).

    Hi Simbarashe,

    I have the same issue when joining GoTo meetings on Mac OS Monterey 12.6.1 (21G217) and Outlook for Mac 16.66.2. Pressing the "Join" button on the reminder popup used to open my default browser (Chrome 107.0.5304.110) with the URL that is written in the location field of the meeting invite.

    Hi

    16.62 is not the current beta channel update. Version 16.68 (22110801) is the Beta Channel version you should be using
