I read where another had High CPU. I just updated my office version the other day and now I am running very high CPU, no matter what I am running, if I run outlook it runs high, if I happen to open outlook, word, and excel (word and excel with no documents open) it will run at 100% CPU. The Office Click to run (SxS), Outlook (32 bit), Word (32 bit), and Excel (32 bit) all run around 23%-24%. Is there an upgrade fix for this problem or do I need to go back to a prior version.
Thanks.

I checked for updates. It says I am up to date. I looked at my excel and it has 16.0.12827.20200 when I click on the about. When I look at the About without checking on the button it states that I have Version 2005 (Build 12827.20268). So this doesn't solve my problem.
OK, you're on Monthly Channel, he's on Monthly Channel Targeted, which is the one that received 20320.
You should either roll back to the prior update and then somehow hope it doesn't re-update you (I'm not sure how aggressive it is in doing that) or switch channels (if your scenario allows that).
Thanks,
That is what I am looking at right now. I am going to back up to an earlier version in May. It won't update automatically, but ask me if I want to update (which I won;t). I will not update for a few months until I see 20320 come out.
Thanks.
Please have a look to my post in the following thread, the issue is the same. It is somehow related to the avalability of an internet connection when an office application is launched:
