Outlook 16.18 for Mac Gmail integration - cant lookup addresses from Gmail corporate directory list

I have just installed the fast-track update to Office 16.18 on my Macbook Pro 2018 running High Sierra 10.13.16.  I am very pleased it now supports Oauth for G-Suite, as my org doesn't allow username/password authentication meaning before I could not use Outlook for G-Suite.

One thing still frustrates me - I don't see contact suggestions for fellow employees unless I add them to my personal address book within Google contacts, and I cant look up anyone from our corporate Gmail directory.   Can you please tell me if it is possible to configure Outlook to do this, or is this feature not available at present?  This will probably stop me ditching the horrible Gmail web-based client, until such time as this feature works....

    According to my research, when you enable G Suite Sync for Microsoft Outlook (GSSMO), your organization's Global Address List in G Suite automatically becomes available to each GSSMO user in Outlook. It must be enabled in your Google Admin console. If you cannot see the G Suite GAL in Outlook, I suggest you try to contact your admin and check whether you’ve enabled the GSSMO.
