Hey, wondering if anyone else has encountered an error when running a Regression through the Analysis ToolPak in Excel 2016 for Mac.
In several cases while running a multivariate regression, I've found that the residual plots Excel produces sometimes use x-axis data from the regression output sheet instead of the original data sheet, which produces flawed residual plots.
Any suggestions for how to make sure the residual plots made by the ToolPak use data from the proper sheet?

The error is still there in version 15.31. The first residual plot generated is correct, the second is not. If you ask for line fit plots , again, some are correct and some not. The PC version does not seem to have this problem. The problem only occurs if you ask it to put the plot on a new worksheet ply. If you put the output on the same page as the original data, the charts will be correct. So, a simple work around is to put the output on the same page, with the drawback that it makes the original data page messy.
In 15.29, use the Smile button to send a screen shot and report of the problem to Microsoft.
Hi! Actually, after trying to report the bug over the phone, I was prompted to update all the way through 15.29. The problem persists. Other suggestions?
Bugs in the analysis toolpak were fixed in version 15.28. Go to your Excel menu and choose About Excel. If you have a previous version, then install the update and try again.
