Excel 2016 Mac Row Number Display Backwards.

This is fixed in the current Insider Fast build, which is 15.40

Yes. Upon opening they all exhibit this beahvior

I haven’t had this issue before. It was either caused by an Office Update or the High Sierra Beta.

Doesn't show up in Sierra Mac OS12.x.  It is a Defect caused by the Beta System Software can't say it is actually in Office or in the OS.  But Apple and Microsoft have only got 4 days to fix it.

You posted your question to the general release section of the forum, and Microsoft Support for general release does not know about the special Insider Fast build you are using. For future reference, you can save time by always using the special Insider forum when discussing Insider builds of Office.

I moved your question to the Insider forum.

In this case, it is known issue for Excel Insider Fast build in Mac OS Sierra and High Sierra.  Microsoft knows about it and is working to fix it.

You can use Time Machine to restore the previous build. I chose to Keep Both, and found that the old build seems to work OK without causing problems. AutoUpdate tends to want to get rid of the old version, but I can restore it again.

Please close Excel and reboot Mac, then restart Excel and check if the issue persists.

In addition, you may start Mac in safe mode, then check if the issue will happen.
