Hello Ton Knijnenburg
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
It seems like you are experiencing an issue using the Python in Excel wherein you encountered an error message. Let’s work together in finding the best resolution to this issue.
For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:
- What is the version of your Excel app?
Here are some steps that you can try to resolve the issue:
- Make sure that you have the latest version of Python installed on your computer.
- Check if you have the latest version of Excel installed on your computer.
- Try repairing your Office installation: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support
- Try resetting the Python environment by going to File > Options > Add-ins > Manage: Excel Add-ins > Go > uncheck the Python add-in > OK > restart Excel > go back to Manage: Excel Add-ins > check the Python add-in > OK.
If none of the suggested steps works for you. I would suggest to report this directly to our developer. In order for them to be aware about the issue that you currently facing.
