Notebooks Backup in OneNote is no longer working

Haha! I was just about to reply back saying "Did you make sure you hit OK first and that the setting was in effect after restarting OneNote"?

It took me 4 months of tweaking to finally figure out why this was happening. I see other MS threads also complaining of the same issue. I will post the fix.

I can't BELIEVE Microsoft hasn't realized that this is a bug yet!!

I work in IT so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at software having bugs. These days I find that getting software is more like buying a package of bugs which have a few working features thrown in for free :-)

Thank you for posting this, ran into the very same problem. Can confirm it works. 

For anyone else's reference i am on v1710 Build 8625.2127 and it's still a bug.

rofl. I can't believe they haven't fixed it yet.

Actually, I can believe it. OneNote is one of the most useful apps ever with one of the most aggravating development teams of all time.

I've looked for alternatives obviously... nothing comes close
