    Hi,

And let us make sure that the OneNote is not syncing when backing up the folders.

Hope this information helps you. Please let us know if you need additional information.

    Thank you.

    Hi Harsha,

Thank you for your suggestions. I just performed a Quick Repair and Full Online Repair, and that still does not fix the issue.

After reinstalling, I tried changing the backup folder, I tried manually initiate backup by pressing 'Back Up Changed Files Now" and "Back Up All Notebooks Now", I always have the message "The backup completed successfully" right after clicking, but there is no backup at all.

My notebooks are done syncing, and the latest backup is from 2 months ago if I believe last modified stamp.

    Any other thoughts?

First you should double check that you're viewing the correct backup location -- the default for me is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\16.0\Backup\NoteBook. Did you modify the default location?

That build is from June -- have you tried updating to the latest?

I've grabbed that build and I'll try to reproduce the issue tomorrow. I was unable to do so with the latest version, so updating would be my first recommendation.

Thank you Nick for helping. I am now on 16.0.7341.2021 (slow ring / insider) and the problem persists. I did modified the default folder and for test purpose I tried to set it up to the Desktop.

    >OneNote creates the new OneNote/Backup/16.0 folder but the only notebook that is backed-up is the Quick Notes one.

    >All the other ones, despite have been modified recently, despite the manual backup request, are not created

    >I made sure sync was completed, and would not interfere with backup

    >I tried to close and re-open a notebook, does not solve the problem

Not sure what to do :/
