File > Option > Save & Backup > 'Back Up All Notebooks Now' does not trigger anything :/

Backup Folder: C:\Users\*name*\OneNote

(16.07167.2040)

Any thoughts?

Yeah, as soon as I posted the first reply I thought of it. Doh! Rookie mistake but I was soooo pessimistic that I was expecting a fail as usual :-)

I work in IT so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at software having bugs. These days I find that getting software is more like buying a package of bugs which havE a few working features thrown in for free :-)

I posted in /r/Onenote.  Hopefully OneNote devs see it!

Haha! I was just about to reply back saying "Did you make sure you hit OK first and that the setting was in effect after restarting OneNote"?

It took me 4 months of tweaking to finally figure out why this was happening. I see other MS threads also complaining of the same issue. I will post the fix.

I can't BELIEVE Microsoft hasn't realized that this is a bug yet!!

Sorry, I edited my last post as, in fact, your suggestion to check the Sharepoint box worked. I just had not saved the changes and after clicking OK and returning to the backup area and trying again it worked. Thanks so much for this baffling solution as I'd all but given up on finding a fix.

Seems weird though and must be a bug. I thnk it's a bit rubbish of Microsoft to not have fixed it by now.
