File > Option > Save & Backup > 'Back Up All Notebooks Now' does not trigger anything :/

Backup Folder: C:\Users\*name*\OneNote

I primarily use One Note in OSX however I regularly use Windows 10 in a VMware Fusion virtual machine. Since the Mac version of Onenote doesn't support backup I want to use the Windows version to do backups.

As I already said earlier on I am using the latest version of Office 365 Onenote in Windows 10 with all Windows and office patches up to date. The backup runs but only backs up Quicknotes.

To isolate the concern, we would like to know the following:

    • How do you access OneNote? Is it through online or app?

    Regards.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried the Clean Boot instructions for Windows 10 but, unfortunately, it did not change the symptoms.

For possible resolution, we suggest that you access OneNote in Clean Bootenvironment by following this link, and check if it works. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program, or an update, or when you run a program in Windows.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi John,

Followed that. To be honest it's pretty straight forward which is why it's so frustrating that it doesn't work.

I have deleted the backup dir and re-run the backup and can see it created but with only the quick notes backed up.
