As of today I can't update existing power pivot tables nor can I create a power pivot from external excel files that have tables. I can built power pivots from external excel files not containing tables. I can create a power pivot from tables locally located in the workbook I'm using for power pivot itself but externals give me "0 rows transferred" status ![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/89d38b73-22af-4322-84f8-78dac7c7eb2e?platform=QnA
and when I go to Design tab and "table properties" I get the following error.
I don't know what occurred between yesterday and today but importing data(table format) to power pivot from external excel documents stopped working! I need help or fix as I need this for my work.

What is the version and build of Office you have installed? You can see that by going to File > Account and looking for the section that reads "Version xxxx (Build xxxxx.xxxxx)."

I noticed there is a newer update 1812 which I wasn't prompt to update my office 365 yet but that shouldn't have affected power pivot functionality.
Please update to the most recent version available to you, and let us know if the issue continues.

It seems to work. But testing different things, it may have been MS Dynamics NAV issue last week as excel exports from NAV work this week again but excel exports from last week out of NAV still won't get imported into POWER PIVOT so it's not excel issue.
