Excel for Mac - Checkboxes

I have Excel for Mac beta build 16.86 (24050111) and the Ribbon Insert Checkboxes works well. My colleague just joined insider beta earlier today and has an updated Mac Excel build of 16.86 (24050613). When I transferred the xlsm file to my colleague, some text in headers was missing and all the checkboxes turned into TRUE or FALSE text. I initially thought the file transfer by email (relatively small 4.1 Mb file size) may have corrupted the file, but the Insert Checkbox option on the ribbon for my colleagues' Excel version is not present. Has the new build removed the checkboxes?

    Hi Jim

thank you. I'm on Office 365 family; I hold 16.86 (240111) and the checkboxes work fine with me. I suspect my daughter did not enable the checkbox in the ribbon under preferences; the developer section allows the checkbox, but not the Insert tab. we will meet later today and try and sort out.

    thank you again

In the current beta build (16.86 (240506) checkboxes are working.

What version of Excel and what license type does your colleague use?
