Why doesn't Powerpoint (Mac) have keyboard shortcuts for copy/paste format?

Just wondering why Powerpoint on Mac does not have keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste format (format painter)? All other Office apps on Mac and also Windows support this shortcut. On Mac it is Cmd+Shift+C and Cmd+Shift+V.

    Hi

I'm glad you found a couple existing suggestions and voted for them.

Each feature that exists adds to the overhead of Office. Having a lot of features is often derided as "bloat" by the people who use other features, but not the features you find useful. Every feature that is cut makes those other people delighted, until a feature that they use is cut. Those features are labeled essential, not "bloat."

In Microsoft's efforts to streamline the interface, they cut features. The priority is to cut features people don't use much, as recorded by counts for each use by those willing to share their usage information with Microsoft. Reaction is also considered by votes in the UserVoice forum.

I am sorry but your response sounds like you're writing on autopilot without considering the actual specific situation.

    The facts:

    • This is a keyboard shortcut so there is nothing in the UI, i.e. no "interface to streamline"
    • This exact same keyboard shortcut existed in the previous version of Powerpoint for Mac
    • This exact same keyboard shortcut exists in the Windows version of Powerpoint
    • This exact same keyboard shortcut exists in other Office for Mac apps (Word, Outlook)

I cannot see how this could be possibly be considered bloat in any sense. I do not even think it could be classified as a "feature" that would be cut in the effort to streamline. The absence of this shortcut feels like a bug or an oversight. For myself and others, it is absolutely essential.
