OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration flashes a window every hour

Is there a really, really good reason that the "OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration" task (see it in Task Scheduler, Microsoft, Office) must run every hour?  This is what it says that it does: "This task initiates Office Background Task Handler, which updates relevant Office data."

I ask, because it runs officebackgroundtaskhandler.exe in such a way that it flashes a window (itself) on the screen. Only instantaneously to be sure, but it's noticeable, especially once you catch onto what's happening. You can run the task manually if you want to see it without waiting.

Why doesn't the task use one of the many tricks to hide a window from displaying?

There are two scheduled tasks, "OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration" and "OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerLogon".

Modify both of them to the following in the "Actions" tab:

    Program/script: start

    Add arguments: /b "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\officebackgroundtaskhandler.exe"

That starts the handler minimized and prevents the UI from showing. This is a better solution that running it as administrator, etc. You should *not* do that. That is a legitimate security risk. Don't do it.

I solved the problem of black page officebackgroundtaskhandler by doing this steps:

1- in windows search type this word: task scheduler

2- then go to the " active task: bottom of this page as shown

3- choose the task " officebackgroundtaskhandler.exe" in active task windows.

    4- double click this task.

5- in the right windows choose " disable"

that was what I did and the problem was solved. you can also disable other task that you think bother you.
