Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

We sincerely apologize for the experience you had, due to the recent regression!

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

Again, thank you for helping us improve our product!

Thanks!

Lishan

    Hi Rasmus,

Recently we received some related reports regarding the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience it caused.

Please kindly check if it matches your scenario:

    Description

Getting low quality images/texts when exporting to PDF using PowerPoint for Mac even with the highest quality PDF settings.

    Environment

PowerPoint 2016 for Mac, version 16.14.1.

    Update

A newly released build of Insider Slow version 16.15 (0701) has the fix.

The Insider Fast channel version 16.16 (180625) has fixed the issue too.

If you are unwilling to use pre-beta software (Insider Fast) you can use Insider Slow. Insider Slow delivers the upcoming release a little sooner than waiting for it to come through the regular update.

If it is your situation, we suggest you monitor this primary thread for the issue to get the latest update:

PowerPoint export to PDF has tons of formatting issues

If it is not what you are experiencing, please share the following information with us for troubleshooting:

1.Your Mac version. (Apple menu>About This Mac)

2.Some related screenshots about the symptom.

    Regards,

    Tina

My products are up to date. I have automatic updates running and just checked to be sure. There are no additional updates to run but I continue to have this issue with Powerpoint. I used this same 'export to pdf' function last month on the exact same Powerpoint slide with no issues, but am now not able to. Any suggestions?

What build of PowerPoint does it show you having installed? You can find that by going to the PowerPoint > About PowerPoint menu and finding the line that reads "16.xx (xxxxxx)" - what is that full set of numbers?
