Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    Hi Joanne and Manav,

    An update to the Insider Fast channel version 16.16 (180625) has fixed the issue. This fix will slowly trickle down to other channels (Insider Slow as well as Production).

    If you would like to get this release early, you can join the Insider Fast program by referring to the article below:

    Office Insider - Mac

    For those unwilling to use pre-beta software (Insider Fast) you can use Insider Slow. Insider Slow delivers the upcoming release a little sooner than waiting for it to come through the regular update; however, please note that we do not have an ETA for the release.

    To let other community members easily see the information, we will be locking this thread from further posting. Once the fix has been deployed to the Insider Slow and Production build, we will let you know.

    Thanks for sharing your feedback here and apologize for the inconvenience caused by the issues "Arrow size changes and shapes get thick borders when printing in PowerPoint 2016 for Mac" & "Low quality images/texts issue when exporting to PDF using PowerPoint 2016 for Mac".

    As I mentioned above, the issue will be fixed soon in future releases, you can wait for the update later. If you are eager to use it in PowerPoint 2016 for Mac, I would like to share with you the information that it seems to be fixed in latest version of Insider Fast Channel (Version 16.16). You can enroll to the Insider Program via following article and check if it works on you: What is Office Insider?

    Hi there.

    I am building some business one-pagers for my company in PPT for ease of edit universally.

    The images are all set to High Definition (300ppi) and look crisp on ppt, even when zoomed in to the max.

    However, when i export or save as to a PDF the images are terrible. I've read so many Q&A's but nothing seems to help.

    There doesn't seem to be an option when saving to PDF to keep the resolution of images, and instead it shrinks them to it's own accord. i can't determine whether the fault is PPT end or Acrobat end. 

    Microsoft PPT version is 16.14.1, 2018.

    I've never had this issue before, so I'm a little confused as to why this is happening.

    Any help would be appreciated as these can only be shared externally in PDF form.
