Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

We sincerely apologize for the experience you had, due to the recent regression!

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

Again, thank you for helping us improve our product!

Thanks!

Lishan

    Jesse:

I just submitted this through Powerpoint but wanted to share my details to give some context/notes:

MASSIVE Problem: PowerPoint to PDF Conversions dramatically increase the size of some kinds of lines – only occurred in last 3-5 days. Text still converts fine, but outlines, lines, underlines and other formatting elements convert from thin lines to larger size upon PDF conversion.  Occurs on “save as” PDF or File>Print>PDF or File>Print>PDF>Open in Preview.

Does not occur for Word or Excel.  All MS programs are up to date as of Saturday 6/24/2018 11:38 EDT, only noticed today.

    Specs:

    MS PPT for Mac:Version 16.14.1 (180613)

    Mac Preview:Version 10.0 (944.5

    Mac:MacBook macOS Version 10.13.4 // MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)

After reading further in this thread, I did the following, which solved my problem:

    • In Powerpoint went to > Help then to > Check for updates
    • Selected "Join Office Insider"
    • Signed up for "Office Insider Fast"
    • Downloaded new updates (prior to joining office insider, updates were listed as "no updates available"
    • Installed everything
    • Issue solved - lines are now the correct size

    Hello Jhon,

After you click on Fle\Save As\ and select the destination of the file you want to save as well as the format you want to save the file in ".pdf" you should be able to click on "Tools" (next to the "Save" button), then select "Compress Pictures" and select "High Fidelity: preserve quality of the original picture", then continue to save and you should get the same image quality as the original picture. (See the capture)

I hope it helps you out,

    Thanks.
