Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    As a work around you can also open acrobat and create PDF from file. I find this to be a much more consistent and stable way of creating PDF's from PowerPoint.

    From Acrobat:

    File > Create > PDF from file

    I followed the steps to delete PP and reinstall per the link and that worked.  Just turned auto-updates off so it doesn't update it till an update with the fix is available.  Hopefully that will be soon.  Thanks!

    Hi Angelene,

    You are not stuck, you can refer to our workaround and download the previous version (16.13.1) for now!

    Alex has provided the steps above, which I will copy here:

    1. Delete your Powerpoint (just drag it to thrash).
    2. Download the previous version of it (16.13.1).
    3. Double click the downloaded installer and install it. Right after that, you have 16.13.1 installed (you can open Powerpoint and check the version number at the "Powerpoint -> About" menu.
    4. Do not let Microsoft Autoupdate update your Office.

    @Alex,

    Regarding your question about vector files being exported as bitmap, you can create a new thread so we can check the behavior out separately.
