Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    Sounds good! Where did you download the update?

    Under the Help drop down in PPT, select check for updates.

    I got a pop up this morning for an update, 16.14.1 (80161302). However, I tried updating, says it's done, then says the same update is still available to download. Not sure why this isn't working for me.

    Hi

    Microsoft releases updates on a schedule.

    General Release updates are monthly - usually the 2nd week of the month. You can get them a few days early by joining Insider Slow

    Pre-beta releases are available for those who want to try fixes that are being tested. These are weekly builds. You can get them by joining Insider Fast.

    What is Office Insider? - Office Support

    Occasionally, for certain kinds of problems, Microsoft can install an update silently to all general release users without having to do a full download. Whether or not this problem can be addressed this way, I don't know. I just want to alert you to the possibility.

    If you want to be the first to know when a fix is underway, join Insider Fast

    If you want to wait till it's been tested and cleared for general release and you want it as soon as possible after testing, then join Insider Slow.

    If you want to revert to a previous build of PowerPoint, you can use Time Machine to revert to version 16.13.1

    I am getting the same problem - it affects the images randomly though as some are blurred but not all. I did not have this before. Please fix asap!

    I did a few tests on this and the randomness you are experiencing seems to revolve around the scale of the image within PowerPoint, I'm guessing it's to do with the way the new PowerPoint optimises images in terms of compression... but don't quote me on that.
