Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    Hi Cdsta,

    Glad to hear that you have found a selection for high image quality.

    I'd like to explain that this image save setting is for space saving. To have a higher default image quality setting, I'd like to suggest you update your Office to the latest version. The default image quality is High Fidelity (Maximum ppi) and you can also choose to use Original Quality. 

    You can follow the steps below to update your Office clients manually:

    1. Open any Office application such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook.
    2. On the top menu, go to Help > Check for Updates.
    3. Under "How would you like updates to be installed?", select Manually Check>Check for Updates.

    Hi Terry,

    the downgrade to 16.12 solves the issue.

    I personally don't update PP at the moment until this is fixed.

    Not sure when and how we get notified on the fix though - MS seems to be pretty busy fixing it and I have actually no idea where release notes are being published for those updates. Maybe someone can enlight me with that :P

    I figured it out, File>Compress Pictures and then select "Original Quality" but I think you have to do this before you save the ppt :(
