Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    On multiple Microsoft PowerPoint files, I am having issue saving as a PDF. The lines around boxes and underlining words are fattening up. This is happening on the Mac only and only since upgrading using the most recent Office update (maybe 1 week ago from June 28, 2018. (I am running Mac High Sierra OS 10.13.5; Microsoft PowerPoint version 16.14.1; Office 365 Home subscription running Office 2016 for Mac)

    On screen the file looks fine, it's only when creating the PDF from PowerPoint. I've tried multiple ways to create the PDF and they all look exactly the same: File-Save As; File-Export; Print-PDF. Screen shots are below to illustrate.

    Is there any fix or workaround?

    I just downloaded 16.16 (180625) from Office Insider Fast and this version seems to generate even larger PDF files...

However, we apologize that it is not feasible to provide 3rd-party online apps, for we cannot maintain the security for these apps and possible problems caused by them.     In addition, I would like to share with you the information that this large file size for exported PDF from PowerPoint 2016 for Mac is fixed in the latest version:  Version 16.14.1 (Build 18061302). However, you may encounter the following issues in the latest version of PowerPoint 2016 for Mac:

    Arrow size changes and shapes get thick borders when printing in PowerPoint 2016 for Mac.

    Low quality images/texts when exporting to PDF using PowerPoint for Mac

    Just checked with two separate Macs both with 16.14.1 installed and from the same source .pptx file Powerpoint for Mac creates 51.1MB PDF while the Powerpoint Online generates 4.3MB file.

    Definitely not fixed.
