Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    Why does PPT now have a compression issue when converting to PDF?  Every presentation I have, when converting to PDF it compresses icons and logos to barely recognisable and creates weird issues with lines.   This is a recent issue, only from weekend onwards as any presentation I have converted before, was high resolution and had no compression issues but if I convert these presentations now they are coming up with the same issue. 

    There is obviously a bug in recent/updated version of PPT. 

    Please, can you look into this urgently and fix as a massive issue in usability of PPT.

    Hello. I am printing a PowerPoint presentation like I have done for the past many years and now it prints all picture or screen grabs very blurry.

    What is the change that happened her and how can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

    We've run into this problem before, our immediate relief is to open the decks in Keynote and use it to generate the PDFs. It's far from ideal but, in the essence of doing our work, necessary. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.

    For some reason, Keynote slides import only pieces of my PowerPoint slides. LibreOffice does better. There is a German suite of apps that I just purchased (TextMaker, PlanMaker, and Presentations 2018) that shows promise. I don't have the luxury of waiting for the mid-July release of the fixed PowerPoint...that would mark the end of the summer semester. While I hate the idea of moving to a new set of apps in mid-semester, I'm always aware that over-reliance on technology has the downside of catastrophes when the  technology suddenly stops working correctly.
