Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    We would like to create the same environment to test on our side to check if the glitch can be reproduced. Therefore, to better assist you, we would like to collect information below to help better understand the situation here. Could you please help confirm them?

    1. Which PDF application do you use to check the result? Could you please magnify the results to point out directly in the screenshots to explain about the exaggerated stroke?
    2. What is the presentation file format? .ppt? Please try exporting PDF from .pptx and share with us the result if it is originally exported as PDF from .ppt?
    3. What actions have you performed before the issue occurred for the first time? After the Mac OS system update like you mentioned?
    4. How do you create the handouts & presentations? We need to collect the detailed steps and related screenshots to fully know the way they are created and then test on the same environment. Please share them with us and if possible, you may also share with us a sample presentation via the Private Message I just sent to you.
    5. Your exact Mac OS version (e.g. 10.13.2)and PowerPoint version. For Mac OS version, from the Apple menu, choose About This Mac. The version number appears beneath “macOS” or “OS X.” For your PowerPoint version, choose PowerPoint in the top menu bar > About Microsoft PowerPoint and please capture a screenshot of the window.

    Same issue and my specs are the same as Hanasard, but here's some more data to work from. Here is a screenshot of a sample slide. This is what it looks like on screen. Totally normal.

    And here is the PDF file that it produces when printed.

    Nothing you can do to change the line thicknesses. I should also note while fonts appear to be unaffected, pattern fills are also affected similarly. I also tried exporting and printing PDF from a PC and that worked fine. So this appears to be a Mac-only problem.

    Hope the Powerpoint team can figure this out as many of us regularly use Powerpoint as a general purpose drawing program for figures. Lastly, I have just today installed the latest update but I cannot say if that caused the problem because I'm not sure when the last time was that I tried printing from ppt.
