Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    In the last few days - perhaps coinciding with recent updates (now on 16.14.1) - Powerpoint converts slides badly to print or PDF.  

    In particular shapes, lines etc are displayed as very thick, not as shown on screen (1 or 2pt).

    Any reason why this might have happened?  I have updated OS X El Capitan to latest version 10.11.6 (my Mac will not support later than El Capitan).

    I've been trying to export my powerpoint presentation to a PDF, but whenever I do the text looks all wonky, some of the images blur, and even symbols change (lines get thicker, arrows look completely different, etc.) It really looks terrible, and I have no idea how to fix it. All of my settings indicate I'm exporting at the highest quality possible, but it's acting like it's compressing everything even though I don't want it to. I've even gone so far as to uninstall powerpoint, restart my computer, and re-install it, and I've also opened a brand new file with the new installed powerpoint and it's still happening. So I have no idea what's wrong. This has never happened before. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
