Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    Hi Sheen,

    Apologies for not responding sooner.

    MacOS: 10.13.2

    PowerPoint: 16.9 (180116)

    PDF document size (non-blurry): 619KB

    PDF document size (blurry): 238KB

    I've included a zoomed in screenshots (.jpegs) of a small section of the document.  Additionally, I've included the original .jpeg of the image (inserted into the document). You can see the difference in image compression.

    Note that "exporting" or "printing to PDF" results in the exact same result.

    It appears that a more aggressive image compression algorithm is being used, moving from earlier versions of PPT to 16.9.
