Unable to Save or Save As in both Excel and Word on MacBook Pro

You are using a Beta Channel build of Microsoft Office, so I moved your question to the special Insider forum, which is for questions and comments about Beta Channel Builds.

You didn't say where you're trying to save your files. Sequoia has some known issues about saving to devices formatted in something other than Mac OS.

Because you're having trouble with the file system, here's the steps I suggest, in order:

1. Verify your startup volume using Disk Utility

Test. Fixed? We're done! Not fixed, then...

2. Install the Sequoia 15.2 update

Test. Fixed? We're done! Not fixed, then...

3. When the problem occurs, in Excel and in Word use the Menu Bar and choose Help > Feedback > Report a Problem. This is not a troubleshooting step, but there's no reason to bother Microsoft with a report unless you've updated the OS and checked it for issues first. Reporting using this method will send metrics about your Mac and Office to Microsoft.
4. Make a new user account in Mac OS System Settings. Test in the new user account.

Test. Fixed? You now know your original user account is bad. Migrate to the new one. Not fixed?

Wait a few days for the next update or reply and ask for more troubleshooting suggestions.

I suspect repairing the file system and updating Mac OS will fix the problem or that you're trying to save to an unsupported device.

I appreciate your expertise and Explanation skills. I understand that you're experiencing issues with saving documents in both Excel and Word on your MacBook Pro.

It seems that multiple users are facing this issue whenever new update if Mac OS launched. You already cleared the local cache application, but this didn’t work for you. You can try removing the AutoSave option as mentioned by Piero Mucignat in Cannot Save or Save As in Excel and Word after Mac OS Update to - Microsoft Community.  In the same thread it was mentioned that updating to 16.92 has resolved one of the user’s issue and you are already running on 16.93, you can try to downgrade and check if the issue resolve by visiting Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes

If still the issue did not resolve, the MacBook Pro configuration need to be checked. However, as a member of the community, I don’t have option to access your system remotely and review the configuration to identify potential solutions for this issue. Therefore, I recommend reaching out to the relevant product team for assistance. 

First, it is important to understand the reporting process. This can only be initiated by an Office 365 Global Administrator. The Microsoft Support Team has higher permission to remotely assist you and collect background logs for the root cause. This is a more efficient way in handling this case for you.
