Why can't I just turn off this feature instead of spending time looking for how to turn it off every time the app is updated. I can't turn it off on my phone and this is annoying. The only reason I still use it is because of work. this 2.0 feature is frustrating me. please help to turn it off and never turn on back again by itself.

Just like most of the time, MS decides what is the best for the users, instead of giving options. Who was that UI/UX genius who decided that this was a good idea?

Oh lord, this is a garbage update. This is as bad as when Microsoft switched all our M365 inboxes to be on "Focused Mailbox" which only achieved 2 things: guarantee that you will miss important emails, and then make those emails impossible to find even when somebody else gives you a Title to search. At least you could turn off focused mailbox.

Now Teams UI changed, and they are trying to push a weird "focused channel" which will drop "unimportant" messages till you click Go To Channel.

And unlike "f***off mailbox", this can't be turned off. Petitioning my IT/higher ups to move away from Teams and onto something like Slack now.

I am extremely confused and frustrated with the UI change to put new messages at the top of Teams. Why are new messages at the bottom in Chat, and at the top in Channels? Please consider making them consistent.

Second, having new messages at the bottom has been a familiar UX pattern across many popular applications for decades. The pattern appears in Slack, Discord, iOS Messages, heck even AOL Instant Messenger. For you to put it at the top makes it appear as though you simply tried to copy Facebook's Feed, which is not a good analog for Teams.

It's also frustrating that I cannot turn the sort option off. The change was forced on my application and there is no way to change it back. This makes me less excited to try any other "experimental" features you have coming down the pipeline. Please listen to your users.

This is a horrible feature change, and why are you not listening to your customers?
