Why can't I just turn off this feature instead of spending time looking for how to turn it off every time the app is updated. I can't turn it off on my phone and this is annoying. The only reason I still use it is because of work. this 2.0 feature is frustrating me. please help to turn it off and never turn on back again by itself.

Oh lord, this is a garbage update. This is as bad as when Microsoft switched all our M365 inboxes to be on "Focused Mailbox" which only achieved 2 things: guarantee that you will miss important emails, and then make those emails impossible to find even when somebody else gives you a Title to search. At least you could turn off focused mailbox.

Now Teams UI changed, and they are trying to push a weird "focused channel" which will drop "unimportant" messages till you click Go To Channel.

And unlike "f***off mailbox", this can't be turned off. Petitioning my IT/higher ups to move away from Teams and onto something like Slack now.

Just like most of the time, MS decides what is the best for the users, instead of giving options. Who was that UI/UX genius who decided that this was a good idea?

Just noticed this absolutely baffling f* up of a UI/UX change, then found this topic, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who's utterly frustrated by a lack of any critical thinking skills that went into this utter garbage move. Teams is a bit of a clusterf* anyway, but who on earth thought "well, let's make it even more of a clusterf*"??? First, forcing every user to use this new UX, which is objectively worse than the previous design (since messages and replies are now out-of-order time-wise), is already bad, but not even have it configurable?? Each and every other chat product in the entire world uses "newest replies at bottom" if it's not configurable (Slack, Discord, Whatsapp, Telegram, you name it), so change it just for the lulz of it??? Man, what an excruciating dumb move! What a mind-boggling stupidity! What an utter pile of male cow extrement! May those who thought this was a good idea be fired without pay and be prohibited to ever work on any kind of UI/UX in their entire lives.

These random UI changes are ridiculous, event just making things different contrary to expected use from other apps. Please focus on keeping your users productive and not reactive to random changes
