Why can't I just turn off this feature instead of spending time looking for how to turn it off every time the app is updated. I can't turn it off on my phone and this is annoying. The only reason I still use it is because of work. this 2.0 feature is frustrating me. please help to turn it off and never turn on back again by itself.

I can't believe this change was implemented without a setting to use the original "new at the bottom" style that every texting/chat/discussion app has used for decades.

And to have the channel be new at top and chats be new at the bottom just reinforces the absolute lunacy behind the decision making of these UI developers/decision makers.

Teams is not facebook and no one wants it to be Facebook.

This decision is so bad we are looking at other options. Microsoft has jumped the shark (again).

Its these types of decisions that has made me move most personal computers and many servers to linux. I'd rather have choice with quirks than no choice at all.

To be explicit, this feature was deployed with a feature to turn it off. It was deployed some months ago and there was a toggle to disable the "New Channel Experience" or something like that. I got the changes, looked in the settings and disabled that, and everything was good for a few months.

Then a week or two ago, a new version was pushed that removed that setting and forced the changes on me / us again.

I keep typing into the subject line unknowingly too! So frustrating!

Yes, the dreadful "subject" at the top! Lunacy!

This new change is absolutely awful. New messages should be at the bottom with older messages at the top. This isn't social media, it's a communication tool and those all use bottom-up sort. Your Chat tab proves that.

Who decided that Channel messages need a subject? I keep starting my post and try to format it only to realize I'm in the subject line and can't. Can I turn that off?
